I’m in Schmap!
Jul 23rd, 2007 by Jordan
I’ve never been to Schmap before this, but apparently it’s a collaborative travel site of some type. A few weeks ago, I received a message stating that a couple of my flickr photos were on the shortlist for inclusion on the site, and yesterday I received notice that they were now included. Pretty neat!
The first photo is of the Johnson Space Center in Houston:

I snapped this shot while in Houston with my good friend Stacey, on a little vacation. As is usual when you go to see your friends, you get so totally bored of each other in just a few hours that you start going to all the places you’ve never even thought about paying money to get into just so you have something to do. For some reason, I was on a real photo kick that trip, and took some shots while walking in. It would have been perfect, if the cones hadn’t been sitting around.
The second shot to make it into Schmap is one I took while in the Coliseum in Rome:

Pretty straight-forward here, but I never really thought the shot was all that good until I got the notice that it was going to be in Schmap. Then I went back and looked at it and was a bit impressed with myself. I’m almost a real photographer.
